Sanctuary Groups & Gatherings

Branding

Creating a Visual Identity for a Modern Ministry

When Brandi Diamond founded Sanctuary Groups & Gatherings, she envisioned a space where people could question, enjoy, and practice their faith in an open and welcoming environment. It’s a ministry designed for the 21st century, where people can connect without barriers, explore faith without fear, and find a spiritual home that feels both ancient and new.

As we developed the brand for Sanctuary, our goal was to reflect this unique balance of tradition and modernity. The visual identity needed to feel soft but substantial, open but grounded, welcoming but structured. Here’s how we brought that vision to life.

Blending Ancient & Modern Elements

When crafting the visual identity for Sanctuary, we focused on three key design principles:

1. The Tent as a Symbol of Sacred Gathering

From the earliest days of faith, the tent was the first sanctuary—an intimate, sacred space where people gathered to seek God’s presence. We leaned into this imagery by incorporating soft lines and an open, inviting shape into the brand’s visual elements. The result? A design that speaks to both historical faith traditions and modern inclusivity.

2. A Soft Yet Substantial Feel

Sanctuary Groups & Gatherings is about embracing faith with openness and depth—we wanted the brand to reflect that. The design needed to feel gentle and approachable but also rich in meaning.

  • Curved elements create warmth and invitation.

  • Structured typography ensures clarity and strength.

  • A mix of organic and modern textures bridges the gap between ancient tradition and contemporary faith.

3. Neutral, Comforting Tones

The color palette was just as intentional. Earthy neutrals create a sense of calm, inclusion, and peace. Rather than bold, overpowering colors, the design leans into natural, grounding tones that invite people to relax, reflect, and engage.
