Modern Tradition:
Advent at Athens First UMC

Each year, Athens First UMC promotes Advent services and events, drawing design inspiration from the music performed by the Sanctuary Choir. In 2013, the choir’s performance of the Messiah with a full orchestra inspired a design that blends traditional Christian symbols with a modern twist. The "Season of Advent" identity features a first-century Christian symbol reimagined to reflect the church’s unique vibe—rooted in tradition but alive with a fresh, contemporary spirit. This approach mirrors the church’s blend of historic reverence with modern relevance, making each event feel both timeless and current.
